The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a new sustainable development agenda that follows the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) and adopted in 2015.

What's in store for our Team?
We’ll train you on creative problem solving and design a social business design, so that you’ll know exactly what to do when you win!
YOUR BENILDE PRIZE JOURNEY
Ideation Program (3 months)
Get shortlisted and enroll in our Benilde Open Online Course (BOOCs) to discover how you can craft a social innovation challenge that’s grounded by empathy and an understanding of your stakeholders.
Afterwards, you will be invited to join our Ideation Bootcamp to generate, fine-tune, and prototype three (3) social design solutions.
Social Business Program (1 month)
Advance to our Social Business Bootcamp to learn the social business aspect for your Social Innovation as well as the core lessons of pitching effectively in preparation for the BP Finals.
Culminating this phase is the Benilde Prize Finals—where you must successfully pitch your idea to an esteemed panel of multidisciplinary social innovators to win the Benilde Prize!
Incubation-Acceleration Program (8 months)
The winning team will enter an 8-month incubation-acceleration program to provide bespoke pioneer support for the project.
During this period, you'll launch your social enterprise with your prize seed funding, access to various mentors, venture capitalists, social entrepreneurs, and other vital network partners!

How do we join?
You’re just a few steps away from winning the Benilde Prize!
FOUR (4) SIMPLE STEPS
STEP 1: Form a Team
You’ll need to form a Team of two to three (2-3) Students 18yo and above all currently enrolled in a Philippine College or University, including Graduate Students. Students coming from Vocational Training Institutions are also welcome.
Students from De la Salle-College of Saint Benilde have a special incubation program and are encouraged to apply internally via hifi@benilde.edu.ph.
Afterwards, recruit a (1) Team Adviser who is knowledgeable about your topic and is well acquainted with your Team Members.
Your Team should have:
a) Individuals with similar passions though they may belong to diverse disciplines
b) A track record of being able to work together on projects
c) Stamina to see yourselves become co-founders of a potential start-up should you win
STEP 2: Prepare your Recommendation Letters
Download the template for recommendation letters and prepare two (2) copies for EACH team member. These must be accomplished by one (1) academic reference and one (1) personal reference.

STEP 3: Prepare a PowerPoint Presentation for your Idea Submission
Choose which topic and SDGs your team will focus on then compose a PowerPoint Presentation that clearly articulates your team's Big Idea. Your Idea should be grounded on actual consultation and empathizing with the community you are designing a solution with.
